Disaster game “I Am Alive” may soon be released, though not as originally intended. News has come in via a video on French gaming site JeuxVideo that Ubisoft has decided against a retail release. Producer Jade Raymond’s comments in the video appear to confirm that. The events that take place in the game are set in Chicago after a devastating earthquake. No gameplay was ever shown. Among some of the more interesting game mechanics hinted at in the trailer was the ability to distract would-be aggressors with supplies like a bottle of water. If it does become available, it will likely be released on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. |
