Jade Raymond Takes Charge of EA’s Motive Studios and Visceral Games

Sometimes, the gaming industry feels like a big game of musical chairs. You never know who will end up where next. Jade Raymond is a perfect example. She started with Sony, went to Electronic Arts, then There Inc., to Ubisoft, and now she’s back with EA again.

The announcement just came in, and means big things for EA and Raymond both. Part of her job will be overseeing Visceral Games, most recently known for Battlefield Hardline , Dead Space 3 , and a forthcoming Star Wars game. The big news, however, is that she will be the head of Motive Studios, an all new EA studio in Montreal, Canada.

So far, we only know of Raymond and Motive Studios working on one game. Support will be provided for the aforementioned Star Wars game for Visceral. However, Raymond did mention her excitement at using the Frostbite engine and stated Motive will work on original IPs. She also put out a call for people who want to join the new studio to email and let her know.

Perhaps this means more games from EA like Unravel ?
