EA Plans Star Wars Games for 2017 and 2018

EA Plans Star Wars Games for 2017 and 2018

People in love with Star Wars have two things to look forward to. EA had a Q2 2017 earnings call yesterday going over finances and the company’s plans, and some important dates came up. 2017 and 2018 release windows were offered for two anticipated Star Wars games.

First, we’ll see Star Wars Battlefront 2. The successor to Star Wars Battlefront will arrive a year from now. That means it’ll come toward the end of 2017. It falls in line with last year’s Star Wars Battlefront game, which came out in November 2015. Plus it works with EA’s typical shooter release schedule, as both Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 were released in fall 2016.

Then, in 2018, we’ll get a second Star Wars game. Visceral Games is working on a game inspired by the series from Jade Raymond and Amy Hennig. The call confirmed that release window. Though, given how far away 2018 is, there’s a good chance that could be delayed. Still, the future looks bright for Star Wars games!
