Injustice 2 was an even worse-kept secret than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan. It seems every day there’s been a new leak ahead of E3 2016. Yesterday, Game Informer, Kotaku, and Polygon all received separate images of a promotional poster that has also appeared on Twitter. Now, we finally have confirmation the game is actually coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Probably because there was no way to hide it anymore.

“Every battle defines you” is the game’s catchphrase, and it makes sense. The fighters all have armor this time. This let you improve the character the more you play as, due to finding more armor as you go through more matches. There were even new villains confirmed: Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd.
We won’t see Injustice 2 until 2017, but there is a way to get a peek at the characters early. The Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile games now have the Injustice 2 Batman and Aquaman hidden away in Challenge Mode. If you beat the challenges, you get those versions of the characters. That’s something!
