inXile Entertaining Thoughts Of Wii U

After two successful Kickstarters, Brian Fargo’s company, inXile Entertainment, is hard at work on follow-ups to both Wasteland, the classic cRPG that served as the inspiration for Fallout, and Planescape: Torment, which drew tremendous attention and critical acclaim for its writing and distinctive game mechanics, couched in one of the most unique D&D settings.

And, while nothing has been formally announced, it does appear that, after the PC versions of Wasteland 2 and Torment: Tides of Numenera are done, the company may look into bringing them to other platforms. Most specifically: the Wii U.

This would make a ton of sense, what with the system being uniquely suitable for point and click gameplay and having support for the Unity engine that drives both of these games. It would certainly go a way toward bridging the gap between consoles and PCs, and perhaps drawing some of the hardcore PC crowd over to Nintendo’s struggling console.
