Pokemon Omega Ruby Cheats & Cheat Codes

In 2014, Nintendo and Game Freak announced their remake of the massively popular third-generation series of Pokemon games, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. The remakes closely follow the plotlines of the original games, to the delight of many fans. With many new mechanics, abilities, and features, the game is enhanced and updated for the Nintendo 3DS. The games have sold more than 14 million copies as of March 2023.

How is Omega Ruby different from Pokemon Ruby?

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have sold roughly 14.5 million copies.

Pokemon Omega Ruby is incredibly similar to the original Pokemon Ruby game, with some minor adjustments. Players battle Team Magma, who scheme to use the legendary Groudon to dry up the oceans, making more room for humans. Team Magma’s plan would make the world more hostile for all Pokemon and it is the player’s task to stop them.

Most of the changes in Pokemon Omega Ruby are strictly functional and mechanical. The game runs on a new engine that is also used for Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, the main games in the sixth generation of the series. Pokemon Omega Ruby also adds a powerful new dynamic to most Pokemon, the mega evolution. In battle, certain Pokemon have the ability to mega-evolve while holding special items. This feature was first seen in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y and is not a feature in the original Pokemon Ruby game. Some Pokemon evolutions seen in later games after Ruby are included in Pokemon Omega Ruby.

Pokemon Omega Ruby Cheat Codes FAQ

What are the options for enabling cheats for Pokemon Omega Ruby?

The two main options for enabling cheats include using an Action Replay device or using an emulator on a computer. An Action Replay device can be purchased online and connected to a Nintendo 3DS. A popular emulator that is more affordable is the Citra emulator on a computer. This program mimics the Nintendo 3DS system but allows for cheat codes to be used.

Will the cheat codes work 100% of the time?

It is not guaranteed that the cheats and cheat codes will work 100% of the time. You may have to test the cheat codes in different versions of the game or use different devices such as your Nintendo 3DS with an Action Replay device or using the Citra emulator. You may experience glitches as well with these cheat codes.

Will these cheat codes work with Pokemon Alpha Sapphire?

Yes, these cheat codes have been tested with Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, and have been known to work. Since the two games are nearly identical, these cheat codes should work on Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. Again, the game version and how you are implementing your cheat codes will determine if they will work or not.
