Is Battlefield 3’s Multiplayer The Best In The World?

Is Battlefield 3’s Multiplayer The Best In The World?

None

In a recent interview with IGN, Patrick Soderlund of the Battlefield 3 team talked about the game’s post launch plans. He said that the launch was only the starting point. Here are his words: “We look at this as a long-term service, where we want the consumers to continually get updates and new content and hopefully improvements to the product as we go.” So the Battlefield team isn’t “letting their foot off the gas,” so to speak.

However, what’s most interesting is what Soderlund said about their main competitor, Call of Duty. Though he respects Call of Duty, he says that the reviews and comments that Battlefield 3 has gotten have said nothing negative about the multiplayer. He went on to say: “If you look at all the reviews that we’ve gotten, not a single one that I’ve seen has been negative towards the multiplayer. In fact, many state that the multiplayer is the multiplayer experience to have, the best in the world. And if I can continue to harness that and work on improving that and give the consumers more of that, then hopefully they’re going to feel loyal to us and stay.”

As long as EA and DICE work on giving customers more of that, Soderlund is confident that gamers will stay loyal to the Battlefield name, and not switch over to Call of Duty this holiday season.
