Kinect: Now Supporting Sitting

Kinect: Now Supporting Sitting

None

When the revelation that Kinect wouldn’t support seated players came several weeks ago, plenty of gamers scoffed at this little tidbit as further proof that Kinect wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. However, it has been discovered that the Kinect input algorithm has been modified to better support seated players by switching a body node from the base of the spine to the back of the neck. This should produce more precise results for those who like to sit while playing Kinect. Of course, the actual feasibility of sitting in several Kinect games (like Dance Central and Kinect Adventures) has yet to be determined, so don’t get too comfy on that couch just yet.
