No Kinect Support for Fable III at Launch

No Kinect Support for Fable III at Launch

None

With Peter Molyneux, it can be incredibly difficult to take his promises seriously. Some may recall how you would be able to cut down trees and blades of grass in the original Fable, returning later to witness how the persistent world kept track of these changes. Much like how that didn’t come to be, apparently, neither will the Kinect support for Fable III that Molyneux had already confirmed in the past.

Speaking on the Engadget Show, Molyneux revealed that Fable III wouldn’t be supporting Kinect functionality, at least at launch. According to Joystiq, who spoke with Molyneux after his appearance, some Kinect functionality may still be made available after the game has been released. Apparently, the reason given for the change of plans was that the Kinect implementation that had originally been planned “just wasn’t up to snuff.”
