Molyneux Knows Milo is Creepy

None

Almost anyone who has knowledge of the Milo Kinect demo probably thinks the idea of befriending a young virtual boy is a bit on the creepy side. Apparently, Peter Molyneux is also well aware of the possible issues that could arise from such a game, according to a recent interview he participated in with USA Today (via 1Up).

Referring to the possible impediments that might stand in the way of the Milo demo being released as a game, Molyneux states “You are immediately appealing to all the dark thoughts of humanity. I actually love that, the idea of being so contentious that it makes people turn around and say, ‘You can’t do a story about a boy.’ But, for me, doing that in that way is absolutely right.” Comparing Milo to Pixar’s Up film he explains “If I described for you this story, ‘It’s about an old man and a Boy Scout, strangers meeting and living together and going on adventures, you’d say, ‘You can’t do that. It’s out of the question.'” Despite the potential creepiness, Molyneux is continuing work on the project and confirms that “some aspect” of it will eventually be released.
