While Fable II sold incredibly well after its release, moving 3.5 million units, Lionhead Studios is not one to rest on their laurels. In fact, Peter Molyneux has told MCV (via 1Up) that he believes that Fable III will become the best selling game in the series when it is released this fall.  Molyneux stated “We want more than five million people playing Fable III on the Xbox 360, full stop.” Outlining how this will come about he explained “Part of that plan is less clutter in the game, less aggravating little inventions that Peter Molyneux once thought was a good idea. More clarity, better story, better cast, better balance.” We’ll be keeping an eye out to see if this prediction comes true or if factors such as losing Kinect support at launch will keep the game from achieving this sales goal. |
