Molyneux And Microsoft Split

Molyneux And Microsoft Split

None

Gaming visionary Peter Molyneux has announced, via Twitter, his split from the development studio he helped create, Lionhead, and long-time publishing partner Microsoft. The creator of Fable and, much earlier in his career, sandbox title Black & White, Molyneux has always dreamed big and offered compelling, unique takes on game design: Milo & Kate, which never came to fruition, was his attempt at offering a Kinect user interaction with a virtual child. His focus, indeed, has always seemed to be interaction between the player and those within the game’s world, even when those aspirations haven’t panned out into a superb game.

Odds are he’ll be taking his grandiose mentality with him to his new company: 22 Cans. No details on the new studio have emerged, as of yet. In the meantime, Molyneux will be finishing work on the latest Fable games, at which we’ve just recently received an expanded look .
