In an interview with NowGamer, Lionhead Studios’ (Fable I & II, Black & White, et al) guru-in-chief Peter Molyneux revealed that Populous, the classic strategy title for IBM PCs, Amiga, Atari, etc. from Bullfrog that ostensibly created the God-game genre, is a game the iconic developer would like to revisit. When asked which game franchise he’d like to return to besides Fable III he said, “I think Populous probably would be the one that would be the most amazing to do a sequel for.” We agree. Even a simple re-hashing of the same title would be great with HD graphics. However, Populous controlled via Natal could be utterly epic. We’ll have to wait and see.
