Kojima Productions is alive, and Sony just made one of the best partnerships it’s ever had. This is a great time to be a PS4 owner. Let me back up. If you haven’t looked at any news site or seen any headline today you might not have heard that Hideo Kojima has officially left Konami (I guess his vacation is over?) and recreated Kojima Productions. An official website has gone live where you can read one of the most badass, inspiring manifestos I’ve ever seen – and look for a new job. I don’t have to tell you why this is great news, but I do need to tell you two things real quick:
First of all: that logo, though . It’s awesome. It’s like a futuristic, steampunk knight. Kojima stated that it’s representative of the old and the new coming together, saying: “It expresses the vision of aiming the new world with the latest technology and pioneering spirit.” Ok, second interesting tidbit here: Kojima Productions is working on a mysterious PS4 exclusive that we know absolutely nothing about. Rumor has it that it will be a virtual reality game of some kind, but that’s pure speculation.
