Lego Dimensions will be Supported until 2018

Lego Dimensions is expensive. It’s $99.99 for the base game, $29.99 for each level pack, $24.99 for each team pack, and $14.99 for a fun pack. It’s a lot, especially when compared to the $64.99 Disney Infinity 3.0 or $74.99 Skylanders SuperChargers. But it may end up being more economical in the long run, since Traveller’s Tales Games has revealed it will be supporting this title until 2018.

Mark Warburton, TT Games’ Associate Producer for Lego Dimensions , told Eurogamer that the developer has a three year plan for the game. While only five waves have been revealed so far, apparently they will continue to release add-ons and expansions for this base game for people to enjoy. It suddenly seems more feasible to pay $100 once, then only need to grab $30 packs you once, rather than a $80-something new installment each year.

The next wave of Lego Dimensions toys will arrive in December. After that, subsequent waves will appear in January 2016, March 2016, and May 2016.
