The staff of the Xbox Wire recently announced that the app previously available on the 360 is now coming to Microsoft’s next-gen console. “Following the success of the MLG app for Xbox 360, Xbox Live members can now watch all of MLG.tv’s professionally-produced, premium, competitive gaming content on both consoles. In addition to the action packed MLG Championship this weekend starting Friday, June 20 at 2:30pm PT, MLG’s popular programming includes the MLG news show “eSports Report,” the world’s best players, teams and leagues and premier competitions. Check out the MLG.tv programming schedule for more information.” Said the Wire.
Corporate VP of Xbox Mike Nichols touts its global reach, and how fans from around the world can be connected to the gaming competitions in innovative new ways (even if they can’t be on hand for the event in person). Nichols says the MLG “…brings something unique to gamers and gaming fans around the world, the opportunity to compete and spectate on one of the world’s largest gaming stages.
