Mario Golf: Super Rush Summary
Mario Golf: Super Rush is the newest iteration of the Mario Golf series. It was released in 2021 and was developed by Camelot Software Planning for Nintendo Switch. It is the 6th game in the Mario golf series and part of the larger-than-life Mario franchise. The game received mixed reviews from critics and currently sits at a 70 on Metacritic. Fans of the series praised the game’s new mechanics, modes, controls, and visuals. Criticism was aimed at the amount of content at launch.
Premise
Mario Golf: Super Rush is comparable to the other entries to the Mario Golf series. It follows traditional golf rules, where the player’s primary goal is to get the ball into each hole with the fewest possible strokes. The player has access to various golf clubs and the player who completes the game with the lowest number of strokes is the winner. What separates Super Rush from the rest of the series is its Speed Golf mode. Speed Golf is a newly introduced mode for the Mario Golf series and has players race to complete courses in the fastest time, instead of the fewest strokes. After a player swings, they must run across the course toward their ball to take their next shot, while avoiding players and obstacles along the way.
Each playable character in the game has unique shots and movement abilities to take advantage of. Another new mode called Battle Golf was also added. This mode is similar to Speed Golf however instead of being a race to clear a course it takes place on a special course where players have to sink the ball in any of the open holes 3 times. The first to do so is the winner.

How do you unlock all the clubs in Mario Golf Super Rush? Once you get 1,000 character points, you’ll unlock the star club set for that character. Once you reach 3,000 Character Points, you’ll unlock the Super Star Club Set for that character.
What’s the fastest way to level up characters in Mario Golf Super Rush? Stroke Play. It doesn’t matter which hole you pick. As soon as possible, open the menu with the + button, quit with the x button, and choose to restart from the first hole. Then repeat this process over and over again.
