The Fight Is On! Says pit, the spammiest character in Smash Bros. Today, Masahiro Sakurai revealed that Pit will be getting another stage themed after him. Oddly enough, however, it does not appear to be the Sky World stage we saw in Brawl . Instead, the statue seems to be based around a central statue of Palutena. Then again, the screenshot we were shown did skillfully hide the bottom of the stage, so it might still feature those annoying breakable platforms that everyone hated.
Pit appears to be changed quite a bit in the new Super Smash Bros. His shield skill now covers all sides and he has access to many of the weapons featured in his 3DS incarnation. Maybe this means that he won’t be as spammalicious as he was before. The most recent character to be announced for the new Smash Bros. is King DeDeDe and a new character hasn’t been added to the roster since Rosalina was announced.
Smash Bros. is scheduled to come out for the Wii U and the 3DS later this year. We will bring you more information about both releases as it becomes available.
