The Boxing Ring stage in Super Smash Bros. has been something of a target for speculation recently for Smash Bros. fans. It’s a completely flat stage, which has made some fans believe that it is standing in for Final Destination . However, it has barriers on both sides and doesn’t appear to have an edge to fall off of. That would make the stage rather unbalanced for most characters. So what’s the deal?
Well, we aren’t quite sure yet, but Sakurai decided to give us a little bit more info. We know that this boxing ring stage comes in two varieties. The first is the Smash ring, which is a light blue ring with the Smash Bros. logo on it. The second is the Punch-Out version, which is likely going to be Little Mac’s stage. It’s the same ring, same size and everything, but this time it’s purple with a World Circuit logo on it.
There is no story mode in the new Smash Bros. , but there will still be a single-player mode. Will the Smash Ring factor into it somehow? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
