Mass Effect: Andromeda Deluxe Edition Revealed

Mass Effect: Andromeda Deluxe Edition Revealed

Today is N7 Day, Bioware’s own little holiday that serves as a celebration of all things Mass Effect . The company has finally started to roll out some concrete details for Mass Effect: Andromeda , the first of which pertains to its Deluxe Edition, revealed today. Priced at $70, it includes: Deep Space Explorer Armor, a Nomad Skin, a Multiplayer Booster Pack, a Pathfinder Casual Outfit, Scavenger Armor, a Pathfinder Elite Weapon Set, a pet Pyjak, a Digital Soundtrack, and a Multiplayer Deluxe Launch Pack. Most of those are fairly straightforward, but the vaguely-named “packs” could use some further elaboration. There’s also a Super Deluxe Edition (seriously), priced at $100, that includes all of the above plus Multiplayer Super Deluxe Booster Packs. Whatever that means.

For the truly hardcore, two Collector’s Editions will be available for purchase as well. The first includes a Nomad RC vehicle and a steelbook case for $200, while the second simply contains a die cast model of the same Nomad along with the steelbook for $100. Mysteriously, neither version includes the game itself.

Also confirmed was the voice talent behind the game’s protagonists, the Ryder siblings; Fryda Wolff will voice the female Ryder, while Tom Taylorson will voice the male Ryder.

Thanks to a leak via a product listing that briefly appeared on Best Buy’s website, we know a few more details about the game as well, the most interesting tidbit being that a four-player multiplayer mode is in the works. The product summary touches on new features including a new setting and cast (duh), destructible environments, boost jumping, and a new skill progression system. It sounds like Bioware is committed to making sure the next chapter of the Mass Effect saga is a totally fresh experience.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is slated to drop in Spring 2017. Its next major reveal is slated for December 1, when Bioware will debut gameplay footage at the Game Awards 2016. For now, check out the game’s cinematic trailer that was released earlier today.
