Master Chief is one a series protagonist that has survived over the years while many others have fallen by the wayside. It’s not because he’s endearing or empathetic, but because he is so devoid of personality that Halo players can pour their own personalities directly into him. However, that looks to be completely changing for Halo 4. Instead of just being the silent archetypal soldier, Master Chief will be getting a personality.
