Microsoft to "Completely Transform" Home Entertainment?

Microsoft to "Completely Transform" Home Entertainment?

None

The E3 rhetoric is already flying!

According to Don Mattrick, vice president for the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft, as picked up in a press release circulated by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) [*breathes*], Microsoft will have such an astounding presence at E3 that it will “completely transform… home entertainment.”

Specifically, Mattrick stated:

“Microsoft is gearing up for a big presence at E3 which will completely transform how people think about home entertainment. We’re excited about the momentum that is building in the industry in anticipation of our June 1st media briefing, which will kick off E3 in blockbuster style.”

Of course, Mattrick’s comments may not all be hot air, especially considering Microsoft was hands-down the most engaging presenter at last year’s event (of the big three). That being said, we’re sure Nintendo and Sony are also eager to pick up the balls they dropped last. Hopefully the hum-drum, pre-E3 comments coming out of those companies in the very same presser aren’t illustrative of their upcoming presentations.
