The Monster Hunter series is so absurdly popular in Japan that its presence can make or break a system, particularly a handheld. The portable versions on the PSP are regarded as the reason the system became so successful in the Land of the Rising Sun. When the latest console generation began, however, Capcom instead brought its flagship “hunting” series to the 3DS, with Monster Hunter 3G. Now, they’re finally ready for the fourth full-numbered entry in the franchise: Monster Hunter 4. And it’s coming to, again, the 3DS. As of yet, that’s the only platform for which it has been revealed.
