More Details On Mortal Kombat’s DLK Pack

None

There have been plenty of rumors about Mortal Kombat’s first Downloadble Kontent pack. However, now we are hearing some details straight from the developers’ mouths. Series co-creator Ed Boon said that the pack will be about bringing back a “klassic” feel to the game. I wonder if anyone ever told him that replacing Cs with Ks stopped being cool in the nineties.

The first things Boon confirmed via his Twitter account were “7 Klassic outfits.” Among them, we will see the classic ninja getups for Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, and Ermac, as well as MK3 style costumes for Jade, Kitana, and Mileena. In addition, the pack will come with three classic fatalities, one each for Scorpion, Sub Zero, and Reptile. Yes, these fatalities and some of the costumes are actually just the pre-order bonuses Netherrealms advertised during the game’s hype period, so let’s hope you didn’t take too much pride in being the only kid on the block that can do the classic Scorpion Inferno fatality.

The final piece of DLC goodness is Skarlet, a new character based off an old rumor of a red female ninja in MK3. Her attacks all revolve around using blood to fuel special maneuvers. It’s pretty brutal.

Boon says a trailer will be coming out soon and that Skarlet will be playable at E3. No price or date is set yet, but be patient. It will be coming soon enough.
