Movement in Resident Evil 5 Still an Issue

None

Considering how well Resident Evil 4 worked on the Wii, it should come as no surprise that many PS3 owners have been looking forward to playing their copy of Resident Evil 5 with Sony’s new Move controllers. However, if you purchased the game close to its original release date, you may want to stop holding your breath.

According to a recent posting on the PlayStation Blog by Sid Shuman, anyone without a Gold Edition copy of the game is being left out of the motion-control patch support loop. Shuman states “If you already own a copy of Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition for your PS3, you’ll be able to download a free patch close to the launch of the PlayStation Move (September 19th in North America) to enable the new motion-control scheme. This will only work with RE5 copies labeled “Gold Edition” – the original version of RE5 won’t be receiving the patch, for technical reasons.” For anyone with an older version of RE5, this changes everything.
