New Adventure Time Game Releases November 2014

New Adventure Time Game Releases November 2014

Announced on Thursday, May 8, A new Adventure Time title will be making its way to Steam, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this coming November, with a new publisher taking the stage to help WayForward develop the third installment to the series.

Over the last two Adventure Time games, WayForward has had a different publisher for each title: D3 Publisher and Namco Bandai Games respectively, though D3 co-published with Namco Bandai for the second game. Little Orbit, a worldwide publisher that focuses on licensed-based products, will be WayForward’s new publisher. It’s currently unknown at this time whether or not the previous publishers will still play a part in some way.

The third installment to the series, Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom , is touted to introduce a classic top-down action-adventure experience and a puzzle-solving element to the series, which is said to be reminiscent of early console fantasy games of yesteryear.

WayForward is the perfect studio to bring the third all-new Adventure Time video game to fans of the animated series, ” said Matt Scott, CEO of Little Orbit.  “ Just like the Adventure Time television series, these video games have resonated strongly across all age groups and we’re thrilled to be publishing the latest installment of this beloved franchise.

In Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom , you (Finn) and your companion Jake travel through the Nameless Kingdom–an unexplored region in the Land of Ooo–to discover hidden secrets and to explore a whole new area created exclusively for the game. What’s more, there’s never-before-seen characters and creatures to encounter as well.

There is a huge amount of excitement and anticipation around this latest Adventure Time video game release with WayForward once again working closely alongside Cartoon Network and the Adventure Time team to develop the game, ” said Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products for Cartoon Network Enterprises. “ We’re confident that the action adventure and puzzle-solving elements to this game are a great fit for the brand and will provide an engaging experience to Adventure Time fans of all ages.

Back in mid-January, D3 Publisher and Cartoon Network Enterprises announced a new DLC pack for Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! , which adds three new characters from the cartoon series to the game: Peppermint Butler, Gunter and King of Mars. In early-February, Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward revealed that he will be working on a game on new game .
