New Burnout Game Confirmed

New Burnout Game Confirmed

None

The Burnout franchise has seen many forms over the years. Now it looks like this classic car-mangling franchise will be taking on yet another new form—Burnout Crash. This downloadable game was recently announced by EA, and will be available for both PSN and Xbox Live this fall. The game will feature a new top-down interface that challenges you to hit specific objects and cause the most damage in a small map. The XBLA version will also feature a special Kinect-enabled local multiplayer mode that will use gesture control.

Burnout Crash will also be the first Burnout game to support the Autolog feature, which tracks in-game stats and was first used in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Though the change in pace could be a good thing for the Burnout series, it will be interesting to see how fans react to the new, downsized format.
