Insomniac Games, famous for developing the Resistance and Ratchet and Clank series for the PlayStation 3, has just announced the opening of a new studio. And surprisingly, this studio will not be developing for the PlayStation 3.  At the SXSW multimedia event this past week, new studio Insomniac Click was announced. Though they can’t reveal what projects they are working on at the moment, we do know that this new studio will be entirely devoted to creating games for social media platforms like Facebook. Whether they will be tie-in games with existing Insomniac properties has yet to be seen, but it would make a whole lot of sense. Plus, who wouldn’t want a point and click Ratchet and Clank adventure? Come on! |
