Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a superhero action-adventure game. This game was developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Spider-Man: Miles Morales is one of PlayStation’s iconic first-party games. This action-packed game became an instant classic in PlayStation’s catalog when it was released on November 12, 2020.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales was loved by critics and fans alike. The game received favorable reviews for its fluid gameplay mechanics that make you feel like Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Miles Morales was nominated for twenty different gaming awards and won three of those awards. This entry in Insomniac’s Spider-Man franchise was a smash hit and became one of the highest-selling games during the year it came out.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales Premise

In this game, Miles Morales has received a year of training from the original Spider-Man, Peter Parker. Now that Miles has proven himself as a capable superhero, Peter feels comfortable leaving New York City in his care. Peter travels to Symkaria with his girlfriend, Mary Jane, for a couple of weeks on a work trip. As the sole defender of New York, Miles must protect the city and prove to everyone that he’s worthy of the title of Spider-Man.
While protecting the city, Miles gets dragged into a violent war between a corrupt energy company named Roxxon and a high-tech criminal gang known as the Underground. Miles faces villains both new and old, and discover the true meaning behind the phrase, “With great power comes great responsibility.”
Spider-Man: Miles Morales Main Character

Spider-Man: Miles Morales follows the story of the titular character Miles Morales. During the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Miles was bitten by a genetically enhanced spider and gained powers just like Peter Parker. Since then, Miles has been training under Peter to become the new Spider-Man.
Peter and Miles share a number of similarities both in personality and history. Both characters are hyper-intelligent, compassionate, and have a past marked by tragedy. In the same way that Peter lost his Uncle Ben, Miles lost his father, Jefferson Davis. Miles aspires to become as great of a hero as his mentor while at the same time trying to shape his own independent identity.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales Series
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the second game in Insominac’s Spider-Man series. The first game, Marvel’s Spider-Man, follows Peter Parker as he tries to stop a dangerous gang called the Inner Demons led by the supervillain Mister Negative. On October 20, 2023, Insomniac released the third game in the franchise, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, where players can play as both Miles and Peter.
Insomniac plans to continue releasing Marvel superhero games in the future. They’ve already announced that they’re working on a game about the most popular member of the X-Men, Wolverine. Although there isn’t a release date yet for it, there is still a lot of excitement for the project. Here is a list of every Insomniac game:
