Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps is a collection of DLCs for Marvel’s Spider-Man developed by Insomniac Games. The expansion’s three chapters include The Heist, Turf War, and Silver Lining. The chapters were released monthly, starting from October 2018 to December.
The reviews from fans and critics were positive and added to the continuation of the base game. While some side missions were seen as repetitive, the overall gameplay was fun as they expanded on the characters and story. The events of the DLC were even adapted into comic book format in 2020. Additional scenes were included in the story that wasn’t seen in the video game.
Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps Premise
The Heist occurs a few months after the base game, with Spider-Man and Mary Jane investigating a museum robbery. They close in on Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, who has been stealing the paintings. They learn from her that she is working for Hammerhead against her will, and the trio sets out to stop Hammerhead and the Maggia crime family.
Turf Wars continues the story with Hammerhead gaining control of military equipment from Sable International. He then declares war against the Maggia family, and it’s up to Spider-Man and Yuri to stop the conflict before a turf war breaks out in the city.
Silver Lining concludes the story with Hammerhead escaping custody after Yuri attempts to shoot him dead. Spider-Man teams up with Silver Sablinova in an unlikely alliance to take down the crime boss. The expansion concludes with Spider-Man teaching Miles Morales how to become the new Spider-Man.
