The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is a DLC expansion to The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth † which was released on March 31, 2021. Developed by Edmund McMillen and Nicalis, the expansion was released to praise. While there is no Metacritic score currently, fans of Binding of Isaac left favorable reviews and the game currently sits at 8 out of 10. The expansion introduced many features like:
- The fan mod The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth integrated into the game as official content
- A new reworked co-op mode, allowing up to four players to play as actual characters instead of babies
- 130+ new items (more than 700 items in total and some are from Antibirth)

Premise of The Binding of Isaac: Repentance
Like the other games and DLC expansions, this game is a top-down 2D game. The player controls one of 34 unlockable characters, as they traverse the basement and beyond. The gameplay is roguelike: the levels are randomly generated into a number of rooms and include at least one boss battle. The Repentance expansion adds support for 4-player co-op, where the extra players control fully functional characters.
