The NGP certainly looks like quite the polished device, and the reason it looks so may be because it has been in development for more than three years, according to Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida. This long development time would also explain why Sony’s first-party releases on the system have been dwindling in the last few years.  However, this would not explain the existence of the PSP Go, which was released in 2009. Why would Sony release a completely new iteration of the PSP when the NGP was already a year in development? The world may never know. |
