Ninja Gaiden 2 Coming to PS3

Ninja Gaiden 2 Coming to PS3

None

Team Ninja announced today in an interview with Famitsu magazine, as picked up by IGN, that Ninja Gaiden 2 will make its way to the Sony PS3. The series will once again don the Sigma moniker for the PlayStation 3 port.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, like its predecessor, will feature a number of upgrades and new features.  For starters, and most notably, Ayane will be a playable character.  According to the Famitsu article, this new character will completely change the gameplay experience from that of Ryu Hayabusa.

New enemies and weapons include a giant Buddha-like opponent, an animate Statue of Liberty, and the Hasaiga Enma – an obscenely large weapon that is larger than Ryu.

It is also worth noting that PlayStation Network support is included, but that could simply be in reference to the competitive leaderboards.

More information should be forthcoming on March 25th when the official game site is launched.
