Team Ninja chief Yosuke Hayashi has announced Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus for the PlayStation Vita.
“In February of this year, we released Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus on PlayStation Vita. We are planning to release the sequel, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, as well,” he said during Team Ninja’s Tokyo Game Show event.
While no details have been divulged as of yet, it was confirmed that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus will arrive on the handheld sometime during the opening stages of 2013.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus was one of the Vita’s launch titles, with its release being met with a warm reception. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, meanwhile, was also well received by critics upon its launch on consoles back in 2009.
