Noibat made its debut in the world of Pokémon in Pokémon X and Y games, introducing itself as a small, Flying/Dragon-type Pokémon with a penchant for sound and sonar. And while it’s adorable nature and agnatic personality, players were drawn to its potential. Noibat evolves into Noivern, a formidable Flying/Dragon-type powerhouse. Throughout its journey in the Pokémon world, Noibat has garnered a dedicated and appreciative player base who admire its unique design and versatile abilities in both battles and adventures.

Based on its description as a bat-like creature, many believed its type to be bug-related, but instead, Noibat is one of the best Pokémon in the game as a Flying/Dragon-type. It has a great penchant for moves and can keep opposing trainers guessing.

Noibat’s base stats can vary slightly from one Pokémon game to another, but its core stats remain consistent. Here are Noibat’s base stats for each mainline Pokémon game it appears in. Unlike Pokémon GO, players are stuck with a specific stat line, a blessing and a curse. Players don’t have to worry about catching dozens, sometimes hundreds, of the same Pokémon for the best stats. Noibat Evolution Guide: Location

Finding Noibat is half the trouble. Here are all the ways you find find, earn, or trade for Noibat.

  1. Pokémon X and Y:
    • Noibat can be encountered in Victory Road, which is available after defeating the Elite Four.
  2. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire:
    • Noibat can be found in Mirage Spots in both Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. These are special areas that change daily, and Noibat may appear in some of them.
    • It can also be obtained by breeding two Noivern or Noibat in the Day Care Nursery.
  3. Pokémon Sun and Moon:
    • Noibat cannot be caught in the wild in Pokémon Sun and Moon. However, it can be obtained through an in-game event distributed via Mystery Gift.
  4. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon:
    • Noibat can be found in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon by SOS chaining in Vast Poni Canyon on Poni Island.
    • You can also receive a Noibat as a gift from an NPC in Ultra Megalopolis after completing the Ultra Beast story events.
  5. Pokémon Sword and Shield:
    • Noibat is not available in the wild in the base game of Pokémon Sword and Shield.
    • However, it can be obtained through Max Raid Battles in the Isle of Armor expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield.
  6. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
    • Noibat is found in northeastern Paldea, and in a small portion of West Province Area Two.

How to Evolve Noibat

Once you have the Pokémon in your care, its about building the best version. You can increase its base stats before evolving, and even teach it some of the best moves in the game. Noibat’s Type: Flying/Dragon

Strengths:

  1. Grass: Noibat’s Flying-type moves are super effective against Grass-type Pokémon, making it a good choice to counter them.
  2. Bug: Flying-type moves also deal extra damage to Bug-type Pokémon, giving Noibat an advantage against them.
  3. Fighting: Noibat’s Flying-type moves are super effective against Fighting-types, which can help it take down these opponents more easily.
  4. Dragon (with Dragon-type moves): Noibat’s Dragon-type moves, such as Draco Meteor, are super effective against other Dragon-types, granting it an advantage in Dragon-type matchups.

Weaknesses:

  1. 4x Ice-type Weakness: Noibat’s Dragon/Flying typing makes it exceptionally vulnerable to Ice-type moves. Ice-type attacks deal four times (4x) damage to Noibat, making it crucial to avoid or switch out against Pokémon with strong Ice-type moves.
  2. Fairy-type Weakness: Noibat is also weak to Fairy-type moves, which deal double damage due to its Dragon typing. Fairy-type Pokémon and moves can pose a significant threat.
  3. Rock-type Weakness: Rock-type moves are another concern for Noibat. They deal double damage due to its Flying typing, making Rock-type Pokémon and moves a hazard.
  4. Limited Physical Defense: Noibat’s base Defense and Special Defense stats are relatively low, making it vulnerable to strong physical and special attacks. It relies more on its Speed and offensive capabilities.
