Onslaught DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts Free This Weekend

Onslaught DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts Free This Weekend

If you’ve not had the chance to pick up the latest DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts , you can give it a try for the cost of a goose egg this weekend.

If you have Xbox Live, Activision and Infinity are making it available starting tomorrow on March 21 st and running through this Monday. A press release touts that while the DLC is still planned for other platforms later in the year, this weekend gamers will “…be able to try out Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC Pack 1 at no cost. The free trial includes the four new small-to-medium multiplayer maps – Fog, BayView, Containment and Ignition; the dual-purpose Maverick weapon; and the first installment in Extinction’s four-part episodic narrative – Episode 1: Nightfall. Come Friday, owners of Call of Duty: Ghosts will just need to sign-in to Xbox Live, download the Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC Pack 1 from the in-game store and jump into a match.” It reads.

One of the best features of any DLC is the addition of new content. O nslaught is the first of many expansions planned, its stand-out feature has nothing to do with a new gun or map, but the inclusion of iconic slasher villain Michael Myers! To access him, you MUST play the match on the map Fog and complete certain field orders to unlock him. However, that’s when the fun begins, as he’ll have the same abilities of a Juggernaut Maniac (wielding an axe as the John Carpenter theme plays in the background).

So be sure to fire up your Xbox this weekend for all the fun, as the free trail will be available on both the Xbox One and last-gen’s 360.
