Nintendo’s paper-thin variant on its iconic mascot will be making his way to the Nintendo 3DS in the hopefully not-to-distant future.  The portly plumber’s newest outing was unveiled by way of a trailer, snuck out by Nintendo among the hubbub over its Wii U announcement and the resulting speculation. The trailer, approximately a minute and a half long, shows Mario’s two-dimensional incarnation exploring story-book like environments and engaging in the turn-based battles utilized by the Nintendo 64 original. Whether this is an entirely new game or simply a port has yet to be revealed, and no details on a date or key gameplay elements have yet been unveiled, but the trailer promises a bright, if familiar, experience. |
