Penny Arcade Releasing New 2D RPG

None

The guys over at Penny Arcade ran into a bit of trouble when designing On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3. By that, we mean that the entire development team has changed hands, causing the game to change from its previous 3D incarnation to a classic 16-bit 2D Japanese style RPG.

And it was awesome. It was so awesome, in fact, that we are getting more.

According to a post on Penny Arcade today, the first of two DLC packs for the game, entitled “The Lair of the Seamstress” is being finalized. The content is completely free and should be available in about a month or so. Not many details about the second DLC pack have yet been revealed, but we do know that it will involve the fate of the player character in the first two episodes.

In addition, Episode 3’s developer, Zeboyd, will also start working on Episode 4 soon. Once again, not many details are known. However, if it’s anything like Episode 3, then Penny Arcade fans and classic JRPG buffs have a lot to look forward to.
