Pokemon Go Plus Device Delayed Until September

Pokemon Go Plus Device Delayed Until September

During Nintendo’s “Treehouse Live at E3” event this year, a pretty neat companion device for Pokemon Go , called Pokemon Go Plus, was discussed in detail. This is pretty much the ideal gadget for aspiring Pokemon masters who don’t want to spend hours of their day staring at their phone screens (ironic since the goal of Pokemon Go was to get people out and away from their screens). PGO Plus connects to your phone and game via Bluetooth and acts as the ultimate pedometer. It will track your movement to aid in hatching eggs, and will alert you when a Pokemon or Poke Stop is nearby. With a simple press of a button you’ll be able to collect items from stops and throw Poke Balls at nearby critters.

Originally Nintendo stated that PGO Plus would be available in July, closely following the launch of Pokemon Go . It sounds like we may be waiting a bit longer, however. Nintendo of America broadcast the following message on its official Twitter account: “The #PokemonGO Plus accessory will now be released Sept 2016 instead of the originally expected end of July launch.” A specific date was not specified, nor were we given a reason for the delay. As soon as we hear of an official release date, we’ll be sure to let you know.
