Nobunaga’s Ambition was a strategy RPG way back in 1983. It spawned its own franchise of games that all took place in the Sengoku Period of Japan, the time of Oda Nobunaga himself. The series has never risen above cult classic status here in North America, but in Japan it’s been quite popular. If you haven’t played it yet, you should probably look into it. Anyway, Nintendo’s hit franchise Pokémon is mashing up with Nobunaga’s Ambition in one of the weirdest video game crossover projects to date.
