Rayman Legends Trailer Leaked

Earlier this week, we reported on a rumor that Ubisoft was working on a follow-up to Rayman Origins . Well, more evidence of the game’s existence has surfaced via a leaked trailer.

As we thought, the game is a 2D platformer that bring Rayman to a variety of different mythical locales. The characters from Rayman Origins return, along with a host of new characters as well. However, the coolest aspects of the trailer were the ways you can use the Wii U’s tablet controller.



The player who is using the tablet seems to have some control over the game world. The trailer showed one player moving platforms up and down with the tablet’s touch interface in order to let the other players, who were using Wiimotes, continue onward. The trailer also showed the Wii U tablet having some sort of scanning capability. When players needed to be healed, they placed a heart figure on the tablet. Similarly, one player put one of the Raving Rabbids on the tablet and he was scanned into the game. The trailer left off with a player holding an Ezio Auditore figurine, making it appear as if Ezio may have a cameo in the game.

Ubisoft has registered two domain names for the game: RaymanLegends.com and Rayman-Legends.com. They have not yet made an official announcement about this new game, but the trailer all but confirms it.
