Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Gets Patched

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Gets Patched

None

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City was a decently fun game, though it had quite a few bugs that needed to be worked out. Last week, Capcom decided to work out those bugs by releasing a new patch for the game.

Firstly, and probably most importantly, Capcom improved the ability to aim across the board. Much of the game felt like a crapshoot because the accuracy of every gun was so bad. Now, perhaps it will feel like a more complete shooter. Players can now also take cover immediately following a dive and items can be picked up while dashing. The enemy A.I. has been improved, so it’s much less like shooting fish in a barrel, and Matchmaking has also been improved, though Capcom did not go into details about how.

Capcom’s patch notes also said that “a fair number of bugs” have been addressed and that “various elements of weaponry” have been adjusted. We can take this to mean a general rebalancing and fixing of the game engine.

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but it seems to me that the point of patch notes are to tell the community how you are changing your game, not just to tell them it’s been changed.
