Good ol’ NeoGAF – the cradle of video game rumor and speculation. Apparently, Resistance 3 has been announced in a very informal fashion. Forum poster nskinnear took the following pics of a temporary billboard in Shreveport, LA.
According to the post, the billboard went up in order to feature in the upcoming alien apocalypse thriller, Battle: Los Angeles. That movie is schedule to launch in Summer 2011, which would seem to jive with a plausible release of the next Resistance.
If you look closely at the lettering in the logo, you’ll notice that the “I” and the “A” in Resistance seem to feature the Chrysler Building and Statue of Liberty, respectively. If this is all true, than Resistance 3 will be centered on a final conflict with the Chimera in NYC.
