The final countdown has begun for the launch of the powerhouse PlayStation 4 , and Sony is continuing to sweeten the pot by giving away more free games.
In an post on the PlayStation.Blog, Sr. Community Specialist Kristine Steimer details the free games that will available to PlayStation Plus members at launch. ”PlayStation 4 is only a work week away! Once a shiny new PS4 is acquired, PS Plus members will be able to download both Contrast and Resogun for free…You can download ibb & obb as well as take advantage of the discounts below when the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow. Resogun and Contrast will be available starting November 15th. “
Microsoft has also recently started a similar program called Games with Gold , offering free games to Xbox Live subscribers on both the 1 st and 16 th of each month. This is no doubt a “good will” gesture by both companies in order to sway those undecided gamers (who may have not yet decided on a console) to one side or the other.
ibb & obb can also be purchased for $9.99 and is described as a ”two player cooperative game set in a puzzle filled world where gravity goes both up and down.” The blog post also details several games that are now listed as “Last Chance Items” that will only be available till the 19 th (such as Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the PSP / Vita and Jet Set Radio for PS3).
