Respawn Responds to Titanfall 2 Criticisms

Titanfall fans were not happy about the way Titanfall 2 seemed to be shaping up. At all. After last weekend’s technical test (an extremely limited, pre-alpha multiplayer build), disgruntled players flocked to the message boards to express their disgust. It’s been made abundantly clear that many people didn’t understand that the point of the test was to see what needed tweaking, and to get player feedback. Respawn has posted on the official Titanfall 2 website a short list of changes that will be implemented for this coming weekend’s test. This was the plan from the beginning. Unfortunately, the most ignorant and vocally outraged Titanfall fans will view this as a victory, and as a sign that bitching gets things done.

Anyway, there are some key changes to look out for when you dive back into this weekend’s tech text. On mobility: “We’ll be tuning air speed and wall-running speed to be faster. Players should once again accumulate and retain more speed when chaining wallruns.” On titan acquisition: “Pilots will once again acquire a small passive amount of Titan meter every few seconds.” Those are the biggest changes, but Respawn also notes that more maps will be showcased in the coming weeks on its website, including more traditional Titanfall maps. HUD adjustments and titan tuning are also an ongoing effort so, you know, just be patient.
