Rumor: Blizzard Is Working on StarCraft HD

This is a dream come true for old-school Blizzard fans like myself. Korean news outlet iNews24 has reported that StarCraft HD is in the works. This, honestly, is what what I wanted StarCraft 2 to be, and it wasn’t. As long as they don’t change a damn thing and keep every single aspect of the gameplay exactly as it is, I’ll be a very happy man.

According to iNews24, an announcement from Blizzard is imminent, coming as early as September. That would make sense, and line up nicely with the StarCraft 2 World Championship Series finals taking place September 10-11 in Mexico City. After an official announcement, we would most certainly expect additional details at this year’s BlizzCon in November. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details at the moment, but the fact that this rumor is coming out of Korea is comforting; they care way more about StarCraft than we do.
