When Grand Theft Auto V’s release date was announced, Rockstar said that they were currently focusing on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, and that they had no details about a possible PC release. However, a recent listing on Amazon France seems to suggest that GTAV will be coming to the PC after all. A PC version of the game is currently available for pre-order alongside the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.
Rockstar has not yet commented on this posting. It’s possible that the whole thing is simply a mistake as we haven’t seen any similar postings in other regions. However, the listing hasn’t yet been taken down, and leaks via Amazon France have been reliable several times in the past. Not only that, but a recent fan petition asking for a PC version of Grant Theft Auto V has amazed over 144,000 signatures. If that doesn’t show fan demand then we don’t know what does.
It’s probably unwise to pre-order the PC version of the game from Amazon France until more info about this listing is revealed. We will bring you more details about the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto V as they become available.
