It appears that Konami may be working on a brand new Castlevania game. The game, supposedly called Castlevania: Mirror of Faith, shows up on an E3 appointment schedule for Dutch site N1ntendo. No other information has been officially or unofficially revealed about the title, other than the revelation that David Cox is involved with the game somehow. Many of you may remember David Cox as the producer for the 2010 HD Castlevania release, Lords of Shadow. Up until now, portable Castlevania titles have all followed the Symphony of the Night mold in being Metroidvania-style exploration platformers. However, the attachment of Cox to the project makes it more likely that this came will play closer to the God of War-style action of Lords of Shadow. The 3DS certainly has the power to render a 3D action game, and seeing the whip stylings of a 3D Belmont would probably play well on a stereoscopic screen.
