[Rumor] Telltale’s Game of Thrones Screenshots Allegedly Leaked

Several screenshots regarding Telltale’s video game adaptation of the popular TV and book series, Game of Thrones , have allegedly been leaked online thanks to a Twitter user–@lifelower–who claims to explore and keep track of upcoming Xbox Live Arcade games.

Telltale Games’ itself has yet to comment on the legitimacy of the screenshots that have been supposedly leaked, as the screenshots in question have apparently been removed from @lifelower’s timeline.

The screenshots themselves depict familiar characters from the Game of Thrones series, but the artstyle of the character models themselves – this author believes – is a departure from what’s been featured in Telltale Games more recent titles, such as The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us . That doesn’t mean to say the studio hasn’t developed a game without the cartoonish aesthetic, because it has (case in point Jurassic Park: The Game and CSI: Hard Evidence ). Having said that, the characters themselves still look stylistic.

With all that said and done, the images themselves has still yet to be confirmed by Telltale, so the authenticity of these screenshots are currently up in the air. As an additional thought, these screenshots–if confirmed to be legitimate–might be renders of an earlier state of the game, and may not be representative of the final product.

It’s already been confirmed that Telltale’s Game of Thrones will feature five playable characters, all from the same family , which was later revealed to be “House Forrester”. The first series Telltale’s Game of Thrones will be six episodes long .

The developer also revealed a few weeks back that the series’ first episode, now known as Iron From Ice , will debut before the end of this year . Beyond that, there’s no solid release date for the beginning of the Game of Thrones series as of yet. The series itself  slated to release digitally on consoles, Mac and PC, and mobile devices.

Since the screenshots have been removed from @lifelower, you can view them via the source link below. We’ll bring you more news on Telltale’s Game of Thrones should further information reach our ears.
