Last year, THQ unveiled a plan to support its big AAA releases with small downloadable micro-versions of established franchises. This plan began rolling out this year with the release of Red Faction: Battlegrounds, released a month before Armageddon. However, the game received less-than-stellar reviews, and it looks like THQ may be re-examining their strategy as a result.  Saints Row: Drive By was slated to be the next downloadable game released before launch, but it looks like the game has been completely scrapped. No immediate reason was given as to why, but if you were looking forward to getting some time in early with The Saints, you’ll be disappointed. |
